Volunteer Information

As a Volunteer, you will be trained to serve as part of the Intake Team which consists of two community volunteers, the student and their parent(s)/guardian(s). During the intake process, the volunteers guide the student to documenting changes needed to improve attendance, identify any potential roadblocks, and establish an affirmative strategy toward implementing all changes. This process is referred to as a "Positive Action Plan". The volunteers meet again with the student at the completion of the program to discuss how the plan might be utilized to achieve success in other areas of their lives, as well as toward their future goals.
